
Christopher York is a passionate storyteller and educator with a rich and diverse background in writing, editing, and teaching. He holds a BBA from Oklahoma Baptist University, a MFA from East Central University, and has also attended SMU Law School and the UCLA Professional Program in Screenwriting.
Christopher’s career spans a variety of creative and editorial roles. He worked as an editor of a corporate sales newsletter for a Fortune 500 company for five years before transitioning to the literary world, where he spent seven years at a literary agency. During that time, he collaborated with numerous writers, including creatives from acclaimed television shows such as Desperate Housewives and China Beach.
Additionally, Christopher worked for Wizards of the Coast as an editor for the Magic: The Gathering section of their magazine, Knowledge Arcana. His love of storytelling and mentorship led him to option his first screenplay at the age of 28.
For the past decade, Christopher has served as a professor of English at East Central University, where he shares his love of story and his professional expertise with students, inspiring the next generation of writers and storytellers.
