Shadow of a Hero is the story of Jacob, a fifteen year old high school student with terminal brain cancer. He has nine months left to live and a cynical outlook on life. Disillusioned and desiring a thrill before he dies, he secretly builds a mechanical suit that grants him superpowers and begins going out as a superhero. At first it is exactly the rush he was wanting.
Jacob soon learns that he is not the only one with power. The city is under siege by forces he does not fully understand, and criminals he put away are returning for revenge. A failing body and mind, a strained friend group, and monsters hunting him. Jacob must survive to protect everything he loves, even when he’s dead already.
