Moving forward, going with the flow,
Observing the world around me,
I see people consumed by selfishness,
Does it surprise me? No, it doesn’t.
In this world, humanity seems lost,
And friendship often feels narcissistic.
It’s better to be true to yourself,
Than to be with those who seek only gain.
Living alone is better than
Being surrounded by hearts of stone.
I’ve witnessed it with my own eyes,
Heard it with my own ears,
I can sense their intentions towards me,
But I choose not to care,
For those who lack the courage
To speak truth in front of me.
The world is full of wonders,
But people are often self-absorbed,
Thinking only of themselves,
They’ll be with you when they need,
But abandon you once their greed is fulfilled.
That’s how selfish people can be.
