The boys enter prom together, Bart still badly sings.

They do their handshake and Fin walks back to his booth.

CALI

(Pauses)

Mr. Bradford tries to drag Bart off the stage.

The song ends as Bart is dragged off the stage.
Emily walks up to Bart.
EMILY
That is the craziest thing anyone has ever done for me.
BARTHOLOMEW

(Laughs)

Bart’s eyes light up as she walks away.
MR BRADFORD
Okay everyone, sorry about that. We are now gonna vote for prom queen and king, can I have the 3 ladies up on the stage now Emily, Cali, and Ava.
Crowd Cheers as they get on stage.
MR. BRADFORD

Kyler walks over to Fin at the booth.
KYLER
I got all of the baseball boys to vote for her.
FIN
You were a pretty sweet boyfriend Kye.
KYLER
You’ll be better. I love you dude.
FIN

Cali looks at Kyler knowingly and smiles.
MR. BRADFORD
And now the boys, Bart, Fin, and Ky-
A teacher runs up on stage and whispers in his ear.
MR. BRADFORD (CONT’D)
What’s that? I have just received word that Kyler has dropped out of the prom king contest.
Fin and Bart get up on stage. Fin looks at Kyler, they smile and Fin looks back to Bart.
FIN
I hope it’s you Bart.
BARTHOLOMEW
I just want the girl Fin, fuck a crown.
FIN
Yeah, I feel you there.
Fin looks at Cali.
MR. BRADFORD
And the winner is… Fin!
Cheers. Fin steps forward, stunned. Mr. Bradford places the crown on his head.
MR. BRADFORD (CONT’D)
Give it up for your Prom King!
A teacher rushes over, whispering in his ear. Mr. Bradford sighs.
MR. BRADFORD (CONT’D)
Uh… folks, I need to correct something. The real Prom King is… Bart.
Gasps. Bart chokes on his drink.
BARTHOLOMEW
Wait… me?!
Mr. Bradford awkwardly removes Fin’s crown and hands it to Bart. Fin laughs, unfazed and happy.
BARTHOLOMEW (CONT’D)
(Batman Voice)
Finally. Justice.
EMILY
(Laughs)
He’s such a dork.
Zeke bursts through.
ZEKE
Bart! They took Fido.
BARTHOLOMEW
(Dead serious)

ZEKE
Chase and the rest of their football team, they have him tied up in the parking lot.
FIN

BARTHOLOMEW
Let’s go get my penguin.
FIN
You heard the king!
All of the guys run outside to see Chase and the team holding the penguin hostage.
Fido nips at a jock while we see the team holding water balloons filled with paint.
CHASE
You ruined everything Fin, the least I could do is ruin your prom.
FIN
You can try.
Chase throws a balloon at Fin and it hits him in the chest covering it in blue paint.
CHASE
(Laughs)

FIN
I’ve actually never felt better.
The football team stands behind Fin holding the roman candles.
FIN (CONT’D)
You went after me, and that’s fine. Kidnapping Bart’s pet is something I won’t forgive.
KYLER
(Corrects Fin)
We won’t.
Kyler makes a thwipping motion like spider-man to Fin and Fin tosses a roman candle to Kyler.
BARTHOLOMEW
(Medieval accent)
If you take a shot at the king, you best not miss. They have stolen from the crown and for that they shall burn!
“Free Bird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd plays. Chaos ensues.
BARTHOLOMEW (CONT’D)
(To himself)
Some men just want to watch the world burn. I am that man.
Bart lights his candle.
Kyler shoots his roman candle and it hits Chase in the leg.
CHASE
Oh shit!
Chases pants catch fire and the jocks poor pain over him to put out the fire.
CALI
Hey Fin, I ever tell you blue’s my favorite color?
FIN
(Laughs)
We can get to that another time, over coffee or something not during a war.
CALI
Sounds good to me.
Chases goons start to retreat, leaving him behind.
Bart walks up to chase, kneels down next to him extends his hand and says.
BARTHOLOMEW
Do you yield?
FIDO THE PENGUIN
Sqwuak!
BARTHOLOMEW
Untie Him.
Asher and the rest of the jocks untie Fido.
CHASE
Yeah, I yield. But this isn’t over.
FIN
Yes, it is.
The kids Celebrate as Bart raises his fist in victory.
